Mylo Gram – Falling

Mylo Gram’s ‘Falling' is meaty. Instead of Lo-fi – low-key. High on the symbol rides and slower on the punchy bass hits. The vocals hum, lull and breathe succinctly of the fatigue that comes with age and self-inflicted restlessness during what the lyricist describes as a “misconstrued” modern life – all weaved with word play, imagery and relatability.

This dish fuses rap with spoken word, strikes hip-hop against jazz, blends authenticity with electricity to create a blend that is pretty, yet gritty. Bittersweet may be the flavour but salivation is the behaviour when feasting upon this prime cut.
